Epoxies are basically polymer materials that are initially liquids and are converted to the solid polymers by a chemical reaction. An epoxy based polymer is strong, chemically resistant to destruction and highly adhesive during conversion from liquid to solid.
Epoxy contains two main components: resins and a hardeners. The resin component is clear, light and odour free. Hardeners are usually darker. When mixed, epoxy components will react chemically and bond together permanently, resulting in a strong plastic material. Epoxy flooring takes advantage of this inherent strength to create highly durable, lasting floors that can conform to a variety of criteria.
