Polyurethane Flooring

Conceived by ICI, polyurethane flooring systems are a robust, seamless and resilient floor coating technology. In fact polyurethane is the toughest floor coating that you can find for any type of floor.

Odourless, rapid to install, thermal, chemical and impact resistant polyurethane flooring was also designed to be non-porous, its structure closely matching the same co-efficient of expansion as concrete. Some polyurethane floor systems now even include integrated antimicrobial agents. Polyurethane flooring is also stronger, tougher and less brittle than traditional epoxy systems.

Polyurethane flooring provides superior performance against thermal shock stresses like hot water and daily stream cleaning. It offers unmatched resistance to organic and inorganic acids, alkalis, fuel, oils, aromatic and aliphatic solvents and is stable to high pressure cleaning or continuous hot water up to 235ºF. With a combination of one-step application and rapid cure time, it can be installed over damp or dry concrete without interrupting plant operations; most projects are completed and back to normal operation within 24 hours.

Cured polyurethane flooring systems form a tough, easily cleaned, pigmented solution from a feather-edge screed for light duty environments to 3/8 inch systems for areas with heavy-duty usage. Polyurethane flooring systems are ideally suited to aggressive areas where a seamless, joint free finish is required and maximum cleanliness is essential such as factories, food and beverage, automotive, biotechnology, semi-conductor, chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical and drink production environments.

Polyurethane Flooring

Polyurethane flooring offers a non-porous, durable surface that is easy to maintain and will last for an extended period of time without the need for routine recovering. Widely trusted, in particular by the health and safety conscious world of food and beverage production, polyurethane flooring has a lot to offer in a number of industrial settings. Importantly, the price of polyurethane flooring has also dropped significantly since its first introduction when it was among the most expensive options.

Microscopic Hygiene

Polyurethane flooring was primarily designed to offer a non-porous solution to industries. Because of this, it is widely accepted as being one of the most hygienic flooring systems that also offers the advantage of being easy to clean. It can even prevent the growth of bacteria and microscopic germs making it a vital component to food and beverage manufacturing units.

Maintenance Free Durability

Durability was also a major factor in the floor surface's design. While many industrial floor materials require regular and costly maintenance or repairs, polyurethane is highly durable and can withstand virtually all pressures and rigours subjected to it. This can be achieved even without the need for the same meticulous level of care and maintenance afforded to other forms of flooring.

Easy To Clean, Non Slip Polyurethane

Polyurethane, thanks largely to its non-porous qualities, is easy to wipe clean but it can also withstand the cleaning and disinfecting that are required in a lot of industries. Its non-slip surface also helps to ensure that it is safe for everybody that uses it regardless of conditions.
